SGGA Logo contest

It's that time to design our SGGA Logo for 2010! The SGGA committee is asking the community to get their creativity in high energy mode and submit an entry for this year's gathering. You can choose ideas from the theme "Back to Basics", or incorporate this year's location in Kentucky. No baby themes please. Visit here to see winning Logo's from previous SGGA's.

Submissions can be hand or digitally drawn. Photoshop or digital photos will not be accepted. So, let's get busy and see what YOU can do!

I wish I could draw. If it is back to basics do you think I could do a stick figure drawing?

How large of a size do you need in total? Highest resolution? I'm really interested in trying but I need to know if average paper size is fine (can be scanned larger resolution) or what digital size is needed (preferably in pixels but inxin works)

Well, just glider cage size, the bigger the better :Smile: .

Actually, as long as it is a good quality image (no cell phone pics) it should be fine. Must be in .jpg or .gif format.

Ok! I plan on using a large Bristol board I think to draw the lineart on (I think 14x17?) and probably markers to color even though digital is easier, I can do better work in markers. :D Thanks!

Oi vey..I just got back, we had some bad luck this week, are housing a friend in need and I've been over my head busy..I only have the ink outline done tonight but can finish the color tomorrow when it's due.. does it matter what time I submit it? Is May1 too late? Oh I hope not, I was soo excited to do this, but this week is a mess. Someone let me know if tomorrow (before midnight) is too late to submit? :(

No...we are waiting to see what you have done! When you finish, submit it. Alicia is traveling at the moment so it's going to be delayed a bit anyhoo :Smile: .

Thank you SOO MUCH!! I feel way better knowing I have time to finish today. I may bring mine upstairs to work on when the Derby starts so I can watch my favorite horse race while working. XD Tally ho!

Sorry for being so late guys, I got my markers back from my friend late last night and had to visit my boyfriend's grandparents this afternoon so I'm feverishly trying to finish right now!! I hope I'm not too late! :faint: I just realized the building I started inking in the background isn't even LOCATED in Lexington..now I have to rework the whole thing.. gah! How could I have not noticed!!

Absolutely, I will have it scanned and emailed to the address tomorrow if you're OK with that. Thank you so much for the extra days, it helped me fix my mistakes and not rush to much. :) I'm so sorry for being late!

LOGO Contest, is still on hold because of storms in TN have left Bourbon without internet and she can not pass on the last submissions to the rest of the team at this time. As soon as all utilities return in Clarksville will will make an announcment as to who the winner was and share the artwork.

PHEW I finished! I messed up the text, but maybe someone can fix it in Photoshop. :( Will email in a moment!!

Bumping because sometimes my image attachments don't go through Gmail and I'm worried you guys didn't get my submission--let me know when Bourbonwill be back, sorry to hear the storms threw out the power!
