AW! I am so sorry Andi. I guess poor Shy was still bound up and the mineral oil didn't do the trick. We'll be thinking of you girls and waiting to hear updates.

Re: Leaving to take Shy back to vet!!!
Shy pooped a little last night, but it was the first night since we started on the mineral oil. She's so fragile and so tiny. I have to admit I'm a little scared (ok, a lot.) They're supposed to call me when they know more. I went ahead and took her in with her cagemates hoping that would help her feel a little more comfortable. When I picked her up from the bottom of the cage the only thing I could think of was she must be cold, so I put her in my bra (she's never been much of a bra baby,) but she actually stayed there and then proceeded to make this noise between a chirp and a crab. It was the same noise she was making in her cage and really sounded horrible. I hope they hurry up and call...........

Re: Leaving to take Shy back to vet!!!
Just got back from picking her up. She's lost 4 grams in 5 days, which now makes her 58 grams. You can feel just about every bone. She's always been really, really skinny. But I noticed she felt eve more thin than normal. when I feed everyone at night she would always be the first one at her tray and I'd always hang around long enough to make sure she's at least take a bite, but she still won't eat her favorite treats.
Anyway, the doc wants to try a couple more things and he said if these don't work we'll bring in the big guns (x-rays and bloodwork.) He said her colon still feels enlarged and full. So the first thing he gave her was to get her stomach and everything moving. The second thing is a nutritional supplement*sp*. I have to give her that 3 times a day and the stomach meds 1 time a day. I really hope this works, it is so hard seeing her even more skinny than she already is. Plus I've heard it's really hard drawing blood from a glider, so if that is true than not only will she be a nervous wreck but I will too. I just can't stand seeing any of my animals in pain anymore than they can stand being IN pain.
