Pet Store Closing - Gliders Need Homes!

Becci I have room 1 spare (LARGE CAGE) and the ability to get gliders neutered I won't mind paying for one (maybe two but not for another 2 weeks). But do I need to pay to buy them from the pet store?? IM me..

Oh, and I had someone ask me on AIM if I'd be willing to accept money to purchase them and hold them for transport. Yes! I'd be more than happy to, AND I will provide copies of the receipts for their purchase so there is no question on where the money has gone.

When I worked there in the past (I quit because of the gliders) she had 4-6 pairs. Plus the joeys from those pairs that she hasn't been able to sell. So we're looking at an estimated 12+ gliders, not counting joeys.

Yeah, it's a bad situation. I was hired to help her with the gliders, but all she saw was $$$ when it came to them. It's just a bad situation. Rusty cages, bad diet, gliders that have never been held, joeys being pulled early, no toys, etc. I'm just thankful she's FINALLY closing, and that these babies have a shot at good homes.

I wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for a phone call I got the other day. A woman found my # online and needed help with her glider. Turns out she was just at this pet store the other day also and let me know what was going on. I avoided it previously because I have issues biting my tongue when it comes to saying what I think (as most of you know). Lol.

Oy, I just got off the phone with her. (She frustrates me just for the record. Lol). She has 3 pairs left that are not spoken for, and she's asking $100 per glider. Two of those pairs will NOT be ready till their joeys are weaned, because they have deposits on them. She's not willing to come down because "she's had no problem selling them for $100 each." Yup, she's splitting bonded pairs for the money. Arg!

Ya know, this frustrates me. I made this same post on GC. I figured being a huge glider board...these babies might find homes. It was pulled! Grrr. Sorry, just need to vent.
