Log invery very very confused

I received an email today from Suggiemom informing me that I have been banned from this forum because my email address is too similar to some other formerly banned member. Okay, so apparently, I have been mistaken for someone else.
Luckily, I hadn't logged out when I left for work today, so I guess I can still post this question in this IE window -- but if I try to log into this forum from another computer, it informs me that my account is no longer valid.
How should I go about proving that I am not who I am mistaken to be?
That was a truly convoluted question.
But I would appreciate if someone could actually tell me what to do. I don't even know the person for whom I am being mistaken! I just registered a day or two ago and this is my first post. Help

That was really fast! I had no idea I would get a response this quickly. So, thank you. I was (obviously) confused and thought this would take much, much longer to resolse.
