Logging In?

I cannot get on the website from home - says 'invalid user.'

I PM'ed Laurie and emailed, so it may have been fixed.

BUT - I can get on from work? How weird...

BTW - this scared me, I thought I had been kicked off. And I'm usually quiet!

This happened to me too, although I received an email informing me I had been banned before I even posted.

I was so confused. Due to a few unsavory people out there, honest people suffer the consequence of having to ban whole blocks of IP addresses. I bet that's what happened here. Laurie's pretty on top of things, so she'll fix it for you.

The "invalid user" issue I found was because I was trying to sign into the "old board". I had the new board book marked at home and the old board book marked at work....

I corrected the situation by signing up for BOTH the old board and the new board. Now I dont have that probelm no matter which board I am looking at (I wanted to read all the posts on the "hit list").

I dont know if that helps at all. You might be at the wrong board at home? I dont know...

No - I logged in from home last night and read, but didn't post.

Oh well, at least I can get my fix here today and tomorrow - but then I'm off work! What will I do!

(I'm sure it will get fixed long before that! )

Hmm.. I dont know. I know that one time I got "invalid user" I looked at the address in the address bar and it looked funny. So I deleted most of the address down to just http://lauriesglidergazette.forumotion.com and THEN clicked the login in at the top and it let me log in no problem... It was really strange and only happened one time. Maybe try that? I do everything by my bookmarks... And it was weird that all of a sudden I couldnt log in. But it only happened once and thats how I fixed it. The bookmark was fine after that.

This is so weird.

I can log in using my neighbors WiFi - they don't have a password, but I can't using mine.

I think it's time for a new router...
