It's me Megi and then the monies are transferred to my daughter, through Paypal in Illishiem, Germany.
I'm back and forth from the computer to making dinner right now but I'll post with a complete explanation and soon as dinner is over. Thanks for asking. Smile

My son in law, Michael, is stationed in Illishiem, Germany. My daughter Tara moved there with him 6+ months ago.

While Tara was still here in Charlotte, she was constantly baking to send things to her husband. She was the baker and I was the Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats maker. We sent him so much that he started sharing with all of the boys in his platoon. Their favorite, of course, was the Rice Krispy Treats.

Since she moved there, 17 boys that were with Michael were sent to Iraq. Mike goes in July. Of those 17 boys, 11 of them have no family, wives or girl friends.

Tara got together with some of the other Army wives and started baking brownies, cookies, Rice KrispyTreats, etc... to give these boys a little boost. It turned out to be a big boost. These boys are just so grateful and it feels so good to do it for them. Now they've expanded to buying favorite candies and special toiletries that the guys can't get over there.

These women have friends and family sending them money monthly and it ALL goes to this endeavor. Thankfully it's all shipped free since they're both APO addresses. I decided that to help out I could sell a couple pouch sets every month.

Please remember that this is not a donation from the buyer, it's me selling the cage sets and then matching the price with my own money. Of course my daughter and her cohorts will know who bought the sets and why. I'm sure she'll be sending thank you notes.

If anyone question my integrity on this, then please don't bid. I'll completely understand.

Any questions? Please ask.

Paula, I think you misunderstood me. I was questioning you at all. I was talking about the care packages that we were all going to send. I had offered to send some sea salt scrubs for those, but no one knows who they are being sent to. Everyone who had a loved one overseas was going to give Laurie the addresses and names of who to send the packages too, but then no one ever did. Anyway I thought that your auction was in connection with that and that maybe we had the addresses now.

Hey Megi....the whole point of the original project was to make sure the guys and girls who had no one to send care packages would receive goodies as well so this would be a great way for you to contribute the stuff you were going to originally. I received a paypal donation of $20 to help out so I'd be glad to forward that along to help with any shipping costs, etc.

I've always just felt horrible for our men and women who don't have the support of loved ones while they're over there protecting our freedoms....it must be one of the loneliest places to be and I think some goodies from home and knowing that there are people who actually care might be just the boost they need to help them keep the faith and to motivate them to continue with what they do so graciously.
